Power and storage in one place
A charger for home and car, a power bank for the bag and a memory card for the camera, dash cam or console — three things that keep the rest of your kit working.
How many watts you need
20–33 W is enough for a phone, 30–45 W for a tablet, 65–100 W for a laptop. One good GaN charger with USB-C covers all three and takes less bag space than two old ones. Power banks: 10 000 mAh is roughly two phone charges and stays within cabin-baggage limits, 20 000 mAh is a weekend's worth. Check for a USB-C Power Delivery output — a bank with only old USB-A ports charges a modern phone slowly.
Choosing a memory card
For 4K video pick speed class V30 or higher; for dash cams and security cameras choose a high-endurance card — an ordinary one wears out under constant overwriting. Take more capacity than you need: 128–256 GB is today's sweet spot per euro.
What to add
USB-C and Lightning cables wear out fastest; for moving files see USB flash drives. The devices themselves live under phones and tablets.
FAQ
Will a bigger charger damage my phone? No — the device draws exactly what it needs; a 100 W charger is as safe for a phone as a 20 W one.
Why does a power bank deliver less than its rated mAh? Some energy goes into voltage conversion: a 10 000 mAh bank typically puts 6000–7000 mAh into the phone. That is normal, not a fault.
