Who in-ear headphones suit

Buds are the smallest option: you wear them all day, forget them in a bag and take them out when needed. Most here are true wireless (TWS) and charge in a case, though wired USB-C models sit on this page too.

• Battery and case. 5–8 hours in the buds; the case adds 2–4 charges, so 24–36 hours away from a socket.
• Fit. Silicone tips isolate better and hold while running; a semi-open shape suits people who dislike tips in the ear canal.
• Noise cancelling. ANC in a small housing is weaker than over-ear, but on transport and in open offices you hear the difference at once.
• Water resistance. IPX4 handles sweat and rain, IPX7 a brief dunk.
• Calls. Several microphones plus ENC make a clear difference on the phone.
