Laser engraver: wood, leather, acrylic and metal with one machine
A laser engraver burns an image or cuts a shape straight into the material: a name on a cutting board, a logo on a leather wallet, acrylic lettering, an engraving on a steel thermos. The job starts from a file (SVG, PNG, DXF) and ends in minutes. We carry Creality Falcon and xTool plus the Makera Carvera Air CNC router — from a European warehouse with a 12-month warranty.
Diode, fibre or UV — what's the difference
- Diode laser (Creality Falcon T1 20 W / 40 W, Falcon A1 Pro 20 W, xTool M2 10 W / 20 W) — the most versatile: engraves wood, plywood, leather, card and anodised aluminium and cuts plywood up to ~10 mm (40 W). The Falcon T1 has an enclosed body, camera and fume outlet — safe at home and in class.
- Fibre laser (Falcon T1 Fiber 20 W) — for metal: marks steel, titanium, brass and stainless with colour effects; serial numbers, tools, jewellery.
- UV laser (Falcon T1 UV 5 W) — "cold" engraving on glass, plastic, leather and electronics without charring.
- xTool MetalFab 1200 W — an industrial laser that welds, cuts and cleans metal; for workshops and small production.
CNC and textiles
- Makera Carvera Air — a desktop CNC router with automatic tool change: aluminium, brass, wood, PCBs. The Cyclone dust collector keeps the bench clean.
- xTool Apparel Printer (all-in-one kit) and the WonderPress heat press — DTF printing on T-shirts, bags and hoodies at home: from screen to fabric in two steps.
Safety and ventilation
An open-frame laser needs goggles and ventilation; the enclosed Falcon T1 and xTool M2 with the Falcon AP1 smoke extractor work in a flat. Acrylic and leather smell when cut — a filter or a window exhaust is a must.
FAQ
Can a diode laser cut metal? No — a diode only marks metal (anodised aluminium, coated steel). MetalFab cuts metal, Fiber marks it.
What software? Creality Falcon and xTool work with LightBurn and the makers' own apps (xTool Creative Space, Falcon Design Space); Carvera uses Makera Controller.
How large a workpiece? The Falcon T1 and xTool M2 beds are A4–A3 class; the pass-through slot takes longer boards.
