Good internet starts with a good network. The router is the heart of it — a modern Wi-Fi 6/7 model serves dozens of devices at once. In a large or multi-storey home a mesh Wi-Fi system removes dead zones, access points extend coverage in offices and complex setups, and a switch connects wired devices.

How to choose

• Router: Wi-Fi 6 is today's sensible standard, Wi-Fi 7 is future headroom; the gigabit WAN port must match your internet plan.
• Mesh system: 2–3 units cover a typical house — as one seamless network, not separate ones.
• Access point: a PoE model gets power straight through the network cable — ceiling mounting with no outlet needed.
• Switch: a simple gigabit one is enough at home; a PoE switch also powers cameras and access points.
