The MikroTik CSS610-8G-2S+IN is a web-managed Gigabit network switch with eight copper ports and two SFP+ slots for a fast uplink. Its compact chassis mounts in a rack and works equally well in an office cabinet or as the core switch of a home network.

  • Copper ports: 8 × RJ-45, 10/100/1000 Mbit/s
  • Uplink: 2 × SFP+
  • Management: web managed
  • PoE: passive PoE
  • Mounting: rack, weight 0.7 kg

Description

SFP+ slots that remove the bottleneck

Eight gigabit devices together can push more data than a single gigabit uplink can carry. The SFP+ slots are built for 10-gigabit modules and direct-attach cables, so the switch can connect to a server, NAS or core switch without the link becoming a bottleneck. The web interface lets you monitor and configure the ports, so when something fails you can see at once which link has dropped.

Who this network switch is for

Small offices whose server or NAS needs more than gigabit speed; home-lab builders and enthusiasts putting together a 10G backbone; and IT administrators who need a simple managed switch for the rack. At just 0.7 kg it is easy to mount in the rack single-handed.
