Description

Eight cameras, one cable to the recorder

The eight PoE ports power the cameras and carry their video, while the gigabit port passes all traffic on to the recorder or router. Long-distance PoE helps with cameras placed further away. A DIP switch turns cloud-managed mode on or off, PoE Watchdog restarts a port when a camera stops responding, and loop protection prevents broadcast storms.

Who this network switch is for

A house, small warehouse, workshop or office with up to eight PoE cameras and one NVR recorder. The switch operates from –10 to 55 °C. If you need more gigabit ports, look at the models in the same series with 1G ports.

How many cameras can the 60 W budget power?

There are eight PoE ports. Cameras drawing up to 7 W can all eight run at once; fewer of the more powerful devices will fit.

What is the orange port for?

Besides 802.3af/at, the orange port supports Hi-PoE, meaning higher power for one device such as a pan-tilt camera. The manufacturer does not specify the exact wattage of that port.
