Which paper for what
- Copy paper 80 gsm. Everyday documents, schoolwork, invoices.
- 90–120 gsm. Presentations and proposals — no show-through and it feels more expensive.
- Photo paper 200–260 gsm. Gloss gives punchy images; matte and semi-gloss avoid reflections.
Size and weight
A4 covers everything ordinary, A3 is for posters and drawings — check first that your printer supports A3 at all. Weight (gsm) tells you how stiff the sheet is: the higher the number, the sturdier the paper.

Can photo paper go in a laser printer? Only paper marked for it — inkjet photo media can melt in a laser fuser.
