An accessory turns an old appliance into a new one
A single sandwich maker with swappable plates also produces waffles, pancakes and madeleines — no new appliance needed. The same applies to a mini oven and an air fryer: a mold, rack or paper liner extends what you already own.
Care extends appliance life
- A water filter keeps limescale out of a coffee machine and kettle — usually replaced every two months.
- Descaler and cleaning tablets wash out coffee oils; without them espresso turns bitter.
- Air fryer paper keeps the basket clean without blocking airflow, as long as the hole pattern matches your basket.
Check the model before buying
Plates, molds and trays fit a SPECIFIC series (Tefal XA part numbers, Bosch HEZ parts, ETA molds). Find the part number in your appliance manual and compare it with the product name — another series from the same brand usually will not fit.
Frequently asked questions
Do plates fit any sandwich maker? No. Swappable plates exist only on models where the plates detach (such as Tefal Snack Collection); fixed-plate appliances cannot take them.
How often should a water filter be changed? Manufacturers suggest every two months or about 50 litres; more often where water is hard.
