3D scanner: from object to model in minutes
A 3D scanner captures an object's surface as millions of points and turns it into an STL or OBJ model you can 3D-print, edit in CAD or compare against a drawing for quality control. We carry Revopoint (the full line from hobby to CMM grade), Creality Sermoon and, for rooms, XGRIDS Lixel. All from a European warehouse with a 12-month warranty.
Which scanner for which job
- Hobby and 3D printing — Revopoint POP 4 Premium and Inspire 2 (Standard / Premium): handheld scanners that work with a PC or phone for figures, car parts and furniture details. Creality Sermoon P1 is the same-class alternative.
- Small and fine objects — Revopoint Mini 2 (Standard / Advanced): blue light for jewellery, dental models, coins and electronics.
- Standalone, no PC — Revopoint Miraco and Miraco Plus: screen and computer built in, scan on site, including large objects (car bodies, sculptures).
- Measurement and reverse engineering — Revopoint MetroX Pro (Standard / Advanced), MetroY, MetroY Pro and MetroY Ultra (incl. CCM Edition): laser lines plus structured light, accurate on shiny and dark metal.

What to look at
- Accuracy and resolution — tenths of a millimetre on hobby scanners, hundredths on the Metro and Trackit series. More accuracy means a pricier, slower scanner.
- Light technology — structured light (infrared or blue) is fast and suits indoors; laser lines work in daylight and on black metal.
- Software — Revo Scan and Revo Measure are included; export STL/OBJ/PLY to Fusion 360, SolidWorks or Blender.
FAQ
Does it work on a Mac? Revopoint Revo Scan runs on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android; Miraco needs no computer at all.
Can I scan shiny or black objects? With a hobby scanner after matting (scanning spray); the Metro and Trackit lasers handle metal without it.
Is Lixel suitable for surveying? LixelKity K1 with the RTK module gives a georeferenced point cloud; the accuracy suits building inventories and BIM, not cadastral surveys.
