How to choose a juicer
Choosing a juicer starts with one question: what will you juice? Apples and carrots need one technology, oranges another and leafy greens a third. Our selection is compact, but all three types are here.
- Type. A centrifugal juicer shreds fruit with a fast-spinning sieve and makes a glass of juice in seconds. A slow masticating juicer presses at 40–80 rpm, yields 20–30% more juice with less foam, and handles berries and greens too. A citrus press is for oranges, lemons and grapefruit only.
- Power. On a centrifugal juicer the motor matters: 400–600 W copes with soft fruit, 800–900 W presses carrots and beetroot without overheating. A slow juicer needs only 150 W and a citrus press 30–40 W — a small figure is not a weakness there.
- Feed chute. A 75 mm chute takes a whole apple; a narrower one means chopping first.
- Cleaning. The sieve and auger must be washed straight after use — check whether the parts are dishwasher safe and whether a sieve brush is included.
- Anti-drip spout. Keeps the worktop clean while you swap glasses — a small thing you miss later.

Frequently asked questions
Centrifugal or slow juicer? If you mostly juice apples and carrots and want speed, take a centrifugal model. If you drink juice daily, press berries or greens and want maximum yield, a slow juicer pays off.
Can a blender replace a juicer? No — a blender crushes the whole fruit, fibre included, and makes a smoothie; a juicer separates juice from pulp.
How long does fresh juice keep? Juice from a centrifugal model oxidises quickly — drink it within an hour. Slow-juiced juice keeps in the fridge for up to 24–48 hours.
How is the juicer delivered? To a parcel locker — Omniva, DPD or Venipak deliver it in 1–2 working days.
