How to choose a toaster
- Number of slices. Two slots are enough for a couple, four suit a family.
- Slot width. A long or wide slot takes sourdough and ciabatta slices.
- Browning levels. Six or seven levels give control from golden to crisp.
- Extras. Defrost, reheat, bun warmer and a removable crumb tray.
