Ajax BulletCam 5 MP 2.8 mm IP camera, 110°, IR 35 m, PoE, White

2.8 mm is a wide-angle lens: a 110° horizontal field of view fits a whole room, an entrance or an aisle between warehouse racks into the frame. A shorter focal length means a wider picture, but distant objects appear smaller, so this lens works best when an overview matters more than picking out far-off detail. The image is 5 MP at 2880 × 1620 and 25 frames per second.

Built-in IR lets the camera see up to 35 m in darkness, and it switches between day and night modes automatically. WDR balances scenes where one part of the frame has a bright window or doorway and another is in shadow, so the face of someone standing in front of a window stays visible. H.265 compression cuts recording size and network load compared with H.264, which also lets an archive cover more days.

For each system user you can set exactly what they can see from the camera and when. All system data is stored within the European Union and handled according to European data protection standards. BulletCam is NDAA-compliant, meaning its components come from manufacturers approved by the US government, and it has passed independent cybersecurity tests. That matters for organisations with strict procurement requirements.

The video wall tab in the Ajax mobile and desktop apps shows the latest clips from IP cameras and MotionCam series detectors side by side, and you can rearrange the tiles. Tapping an event in the notification log opens that camera's recording at the exact moment of the event. Dual streams let you watch a lighter stream on your phone while recording at full quality, and you can jump to any point on the timeline with one click.

The camera is powered only over PoE, so it needs no nearby socket – a single network cable to a PoE switch or injector is enough. A mounting kit is included, and the camera fixes to a ceiling or wall. The white housing measures 198 × 76 × 76 mm and weighs 550 g. IP65 means it is dust-tight and protected against water jets, and it operates from −30 to +60 °C. A reset button lets you start the setup again if needed.
