The 16.2-inch display has a resolution of 3456 × 2234 pixels. On a surface this size, a development environment and a browser fit side by side, or a photo editor with all its panels. High pixel density keeps text crisp and photo detail clear. The display is not a touchscreen: this is a classic clamshell laptop, not a 2-in-1.
The M5 Pro CPU has 18 cores, as many as the M5 Max configurations. Compiling code, processing data, mixing audio and running virtual machines can all use many cores at once. Several demanding apps can run side by side without a background task slowing down what happens in the foreground.
The graphics are built into the M5 Pro chip and have 20 cores. GPU cores speed up photo editing, video editing and effects, 3D work and machine learning tasks. If your main job is heavy 3D rendering or long video exports, the M5 Max configurations with 32 or 40 GPU cores offer more graphics power.
The CPU and GPU share 48 GB of memory, so graphics are not limited by separate video memory. That is twice as much as the 24 GB M5 Pro configurations: you can keep many browser tabs, development containers and large image files open and run local AI models. The 1 TB SSD holds the system, apps and current projects.
The backlit keyboard uses a Russian layout with Cyrillic printed right on the keys, which suits anyone who types in Russian every day. Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) and Bluetooth 6.0 provide fast wireless connections, and the 1080p FaceTime HD camera gives a clear picture in video calls.
Russian-speaking users who want Cyrillic on the keys; developers for whom 18 CPU cores and 48 GB of memory matter; photographers and video editors for whom 20 GPU cores are enough; and anyone who needs a large 16.2″ display and plenty of memory but not M5 Max-level graphics.
