ASUS ExpertBook Ultra B9406CAA-TH0840X laptop 14" OLED Ultra X7 358H 32 GB/1 TB

The 14-inch OLED touchscreen at 2880 × 1800 has a 16:10 aspect ratio that adds rows to spreadsheets. Typical brightness is 600 cd/m², rising to 1400 cd/m² for HDR content; the panel meets DisplayHDR True Black 1000, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space and has a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The surface is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and has an anti-glare finish.

The Intel Core Ultra X7 358H belongs to the Intel Core Ultra Series 3: 4 performance cores up to 4.8 GHz, 8 efficient cores up to 3.5 GHz and 4 low-power efficient cores, for 16 cores, 16 threads and 18 MB of cache in total. The Intel AI Boost NPU delivers up to 50 TOPS and the laptop is a Copilot+ PC, so Windows Studio effects run on the NPU and leave the CPU free for other work.

The integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics support ray tracing acceleration, and the manufacturer rates their AI performance at up to 122 TOPS, which speeds up photo and video editing. The 32 GB of LPDDR5x-SDRAM memory is soldered on board and is also the maximum capacity. The 1 TB SSD uses the M.2 2280 form factor and a PCI Express 4.0 NVMe interface.

Two Thunderbolt 4 ports use the USB-C connector and support charging, USB PD and DisplayPort. Alongside them are two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1 and a headphone/microphone combo jack. Wireless is Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) with 2x2 antennas and Bluetooth 6.0. This model has no mobile broadband modem.

The chassis is aluminium and magnesium, with a magnesium display lid; it measures 310.9 × 212.8 mm and is 10.9–16.4 mm thick. The four-cell 70 Wh lithium-ion battery is large for a thin 14-inch laptop. According to the supplier data, no power adapter is included, but a bag is; USB-C charging requires an 80–90 W charger.

A fingerprint reader and a Full HD IR camera allow Windows Hello sign-in by finger or face, and a privacy shutter physically covers the lens. A TPM 2.0 chip and BitLocker in Windows 11 Pro protect your data, while ASUS ExpertGuardian, according to the manufacturer, follows the NIST SP 800-193 firmware resiliency standard. The BIOS can be password-protected. On calls, Windows Studio effects and six speakers with Dolby Atmos help. The keyboard is backlit and has no numeric keypad.

Managers and consultants who move between meetings and want a thin metal chassis with a 70 Wh battery; company IT departments that care about TPM 2.0, Windows 11 Pro and NIST SP 800-193 firmware protection; and creative professionals who value 100% DCI-P3 coverage and HDR brightness on an OLED screen.
