Ampere architecture, ray tracing and DLSS
The GeForce RTX 3060 is built on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture, with second-generation RT cores for ray tracing and third-generation Tensor cores for AI workloads. DLSS renders frames at a lower resolution and reconstructs them with AI, so frame rates go up. NVIDIA Reflex reduces system latency in competitive games, and G-SYNC keeps the picture on a compatible monitor free of tearing.
