The Keychron K1 RGB (K1X-H1) is a slim low-profile mechanical keyboard without a number pad. It connects over Bluetooth 5.2 or a USB-C cable, works with Windows, macOS and Linux, and every key can be remapped with QMK firmware and the Keychron Launcher web app.

Description

A low keyboard that is easy on the wrists

Low-profile switches and LSA profile ABS keycaps keep the keyboard thin, so your wrists do not have to bend upwards while typing. The keycaps let the RGB backlight shine through, and extra keycaps for both Mac and Windows come in the box. Hot-swap sockets mean you can change switches without soldering. Polling rate is 1000 Hz wired and 90 Hz wireless.

Who this keyboard is for

Laptop and Mac users who are used to low keys but want a mechanical feel. The compact TKL shape leaves more room on the desk for the mouse. There is no 2.4 GHz receiver, so wireless use runs over Bluetooth only.

Questions & answers

Does the keyboard have Estonian letters?

No. The layout is English ENG (QWERTY), so Õ, Ä, Ö and Ü are not printed on the keys. To type in Estonian, add the Estonian keyboard layout in your system settings.

How many devices can it pair with?

According to Keychron, up to three devices can be connected over Bluetooth, for example a computer, a phone and a tablet, with quick switching between them. It also works over a USB-C cable.

How long does the battery last?

Keychron rates the 2000 mAh battery at up to 160 hours. Real figures depend on backlight brightness and use, and charging is over USB-C.
