The Keychron Q1 Max Q1M-M4 is an all-metal wireless mechanical keyboard with 81 keys in Carbon Black, fitted with Gateron Jupiter Banana switches. The 2.4 GHz link runs at 1000 Hz, and a double-gasket mount with several foam layers gives this keyboard a soft typing sound.

Description

A metal body with a quiet sound

The case is CNC-machined from 6063 aluminium, with silicone pads between plate and case to cut metallic resonance. IXPE, PET and latex foam dampen the sound further. The Banana switch has a light tactile bump at the start of the press. Switches can be swapped without soldering for almost any 3-pin or 5-pin MX-style switch. Screw-in stabilizers keep the large keys steady, and the RGB backlight offers 22 effects.

Does the keyboard have Estonian letters?

The manufacturer lists only a QWERTY layout and does not specify the key legend language. Estonian letters can be added in your operating system's keyboard layout settings.

How many devices can it pair with?

Up to three over Bluetooth 5.1, plus the 2.4 GHz receiver and a USB-C cable. For gaming, use 2.4 GHz or the cable, where the polling rate is 1000 Hz.

Can the switches be changed?

Yes. The keyboard supports solder-free swapping with almost any 3-pin or 5-pin MX-style mechanical switch, such as Cherry, Gateron, Kailh and Panda.
