Description

A display that stays readable in bright light

The 16-inch IPS panel at 1920 × 1200 has a 16:10 aspect ratio, so CAD toolbars and spreadsheet rows fit better than on a 16:9 screen. With 500 cd/m² of brightness and an anti-glare finish, you can work next to a window or in a brightly lit office without distracting reflections. There is no touchscreen on this model.

16 cores and 64 GB for large projects

The Intel Core Ultra 7 356H is a 16-core H-series processor with boost up to 4.7 GHz. 64 GB of LPDDR5X memory at 8533 MHz is plenty for large assemblies, big datasets and several virtual machines at once. The memory is an LPCAMM2 module rather than chips soldered to the board. The 1 TB SSD holds both your working environment and your project files.

RTX PRO graphics for drafting, rendering and AI

The NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell is professional workstation graphics with 8 GB of GDDR7 video memory. It is aimed at CAD and BIM software, 3D modelling, rendering and machine learning experiments, where video memory capacity matters more than gaming frame rates. Unlike integrated graphics, the card has its own memory, so large models and textures do not eat into system RAM.

Thunderbolt 5 and a card reader without adapters

Two Thunderbolt 5 ports and one Thunderbolt 4 port support DisplayPort 2.1 output and USB PD 3.1 power, so any of the three can take a monitor or a charger. You also get HDMI, USB-A (10 Gbit/s), an SD Express 7.0 card reader, a 3.5 mm headset jack and a Kensington Nano security slot. Wireless is Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) and Bluetooth 5.4.

A large battery with USB-C charging

The 90 Wh battery gives a workstation with discrete graphics headroom to work away from a wall socket. It charges through the Thunderbolt ports under USB PD 3.1 with up to 140 W input, and the same ports supply up to 15 W to accessories. The USB-A port is Always On, so your phone keeps charging with the laptop lid closed.

Security and a camera made for hybrid work

The fingerprint reader sits in the power button and works on a Match-on-Chip basis, so fingerprint data never leaves the chip. The 5 MP webcam with an IR sensor supports Windows Hello face sign-in, HDR helps when you sit against the light, and Computer Vision human presence detection notices whether you are at the screen. A privacy shutter physically covers the lens. The keyboard is backlit with an English (ENG) layout.

Who this workstation is for

Engineers and architects who open large CAD and BIM models and need RTX PRO graphics with 8 GB of video memory; 3D artists and video editors for whom 64 GB of memory provides headroom; data scientists who test models locally; and anyone who wants one 16-inch machine both for the desk next to a monitor and for travel.

Questions & answers

Which keyboard layout does it have?

The keyboard has an English (ENG) layout. Other languages are added in Windows settings; the keycaps are not printed with Estonian or Russian characters.

How many external monitors can I connect?

All three Thunderbolt ports carry DisplayPort 2.1 and there is an HDMI output as well, so several external monitors can be connected without a dock. The manufacturer does not specify the exact maximum.

Can the memory be upgraded later?

The memory is an LPCAMM2 module, not soldered to the board. Upgrading means swapping the module for a larger one; the exact options are listed in the Lenovo hardware maintenance manual.

Does it have an Ethernet port?

The manufacturer does not list an RJ-45 port. For wired networking, use a Thunderbolt dock or a USB network adapter.

Can I play games on it?

The RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell with 8 GB of GDDR7 handles games far better than integrated graphics, but it is designed for professional software. The manufacturer does not publish gaming performance figures.
