The NZXT Kraken Elite 280 RGB V2 is a white 280 mm liquid cooler with a 2.72-inch IPS LCD screen and an RGB ring on the pump. Two 140 mm RGB fans and the NZXT Turbine pump cool Intel and AMD processors, including AM5 and LGA 1851 platforms.

Description

A screen that shows your temperatures or your own GIF

The 2.72-inch IPS screen on the pump, with 640 × 640 resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate, shows live system data, a chosen image or a GIF, and integrates with Spotify and YouTube. The RGB ring around it and the fan lighting can be customised and synced with other RGB devices. Maximum fan air pressure is 3.2 mmH2O.

Questions & answers

Which sockets does it support?

The manufacturer lists LGA 1150, LGA 1151, LGA 1155, LGA 1156, LGA 1200, LGA 1700, LGA 1851, AM4 and AM5. The mounting brackets install without tools.

Do I need separate thermal paste?

No. Thermal paste is pre-applied to the block, so on the first installation the cooler can be mounted straight away.

Will it fit my case?

The radiator measures 321 × 137 × 27 mm and the tubes are 400 mm long. The case needs a 280 mm radiator mount, i.e. room for 2 × 140 mm fans; also allow for the 26 mm fan thickness.
