Analog optical switches that measure press depth
In an optical switch the press is registered by a beam of light rather than a metal contact, and an analog switch also measures how far the key has been pressed. Gen-2 marks the second generation of this Razer switch. The 8KHz in the name refers to an 8 kHz polling rate: the keyboard sends data to the computer up to 8000 times per second. The Tenkeyless format drops the number pad but keeps the F-keys and arrows.
