5120 × 2880 pixels on a 27-inch screen means text and icons are very sharp even up close. With scaling, the picture looks like a high-quality laptop display, but with four times as many pixels as a QHD screen of the same size. Photos show fine detail, and working with documents, code and spreadsheets is less tiring for the eyes. The IPS panel and 178° viewing angles keep colours even when you look from the side.
The panel covers 99% of the sRGB colour space and displays 1.07 billion colours, which suits the web, office documents and photo editing. Typical brightness is 350 cd/m² with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and HDR10 support gives HDR video more dynamic range. The 60 Hz refresh rate and 5 ms GTG response time are typical of a work-focused monitor: scrolling and video are smooth, but it is not designed for fast games.
The USB-C port supplies up to 90 W to a laptop, so most laptops can charge straight from the monitor, and a USB-C cable is included in the box. The monitor also has a wired network port (RJ-45) and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub, so the network and accessories connect through the monitor. On top of that there is HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and a USB-B upstream port for a desktop computer.
The built-in KVM switch lets you control two computers with the same keyboard and mouse, for example a work laptop and a home desktop. Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture show images from two sources at once, either as a small window or side by side. Auto Source Switch+ automatically switches to a newly connected device, and Off Timer Plus turns the monitor off after a set time to save energy.
