TCL 75T8D 75" 4K QLED Google TV, 144Hz Smart TV

At 75 inches, this TCL television fills a wall and makes a real impression in a spacious living room. The 4K Ultra HD resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels keeps text, faces and landscapes crisp even when you sit relatively close, something lower resolutions struggle with at this size. The standard 16:9 aspect ratio matches most broadcasts, streaming services and games, so content fills the flat screen without awkward bars in everyday viewing.

The 75T8D uses a QLED panel, a technology known for rich, saturated colours and strong brightness. Combined with HDR support, it can display a wider range between dark shadows and bright highlights when you watch HDR-mastered films and series. Sunsets, stadium floodlights and night scenes gain more depth and detail, and the picture keeps its punch in brighter rooms where daylight would otherwise wash out the image.

A 144Hz refresh rate sets this television apart from many standard models. Fast camera pans in football and motorsport look smoother, and fast-moving action in films is easier to follow. Gamers benefit too: with a compatible console or PC capable of outputting high frame rates, motion appears more fluid and responsive. It makes the 75T8D a sensible option for households that share one screen for both entertainment and play.

This smart TV runs Google TV, which gathers films, series and apps from your streaming services into one personalised home screen. Instead of jumping between separate apps, you browse recommendations in one place and pick up where you left off. Google TV gives access to a broad app catalogue, so popular video, music and streaming services can be installed directly on the television without an extra media box.

The flat screen and black finish give the TCL 75T8D a clean, understated look that blends into most living rooms, whether the TV sits on a media unit or is mounted on the wall. When switched off, the dark panel stays discreet, and when switched on, the large surface becomes the centre of attention. The simple design keeps the focus on the picture rather than on the frame around it.

This television suits families and film fans who want a large 4K QLED screen for movie nights, sports fans who appreciate smooth 144Hz motion, and gamers looking for a big display for consoles or PC. Anyone who streams most of their content will value the built-in Google TV platform. It is best placed in a medium to large room where a 75-inch screen can be enjoyed from a comfortable viewing distance.
