The TerraMaster U8-500 Plus is an eight-bay NAS that works well as a central storage hub and backup server for small and medium-sized businesses. It is powered by a 10-core Intel Core i7-1255U (Turbo Boost up to 4.7 GHz) with 16 GB of DDR5 4800 MHz memory, expandable to 64 GB via two SODIMM slots. The official maximum internal capacity is 176 TB (8 × 22 TB), and two M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 slots can serve as an SSD cache or extra storage.

Description

Two 10GbE ports support link aggregation, with transfer speeds of up to 2090 MB/s according to the manufacturer. The Business Backup Suite, AES encryption, OTP authentication, Active Directory and LDAP support, plus Snapshot and HyperLock help keep data safe, and the system is managed conveniently in a web browser through the TOS interface.
