Large fans whose speed the motherboard sets for you
Two 140 mm fans sit on the radiator, and the motherboard controls them by PWM between 400 and 2500 rpm. Under light load they spin slowly; in games or renders the board raises the speed. The copper base plate takes heat from the processor and the pump carries it to the 38 mm thick aluminium radiator. A separate VRM fan blows air over the power stages around the socket, which in liquid-cooled builds are often left without airflow.
