The 1/2.7-inch CMOS sensor records at 2960 × 1668 and up to 30 frames per second. The 2.8 mm lens covers 108.4° horizontally, 60° vertically and 127.1° diagonally, so one camera can watch a whole yard or warehouse room. 120 dB WDR, BLC and HLC handle backlight and headlights, while 3D noise reduction keeps the picture clean at dusk.
The camera has a built-in illuminator with two light sources: according to the manufacturer, infrared and warm light each reach up to 50 m. Infrared gives a discreet black-and-white image, while warm light provides a colour picture in the dark. Smart IR adjusts the illuminator so close objects are not overexposed, and a minimum illumination of 0.0005 lx lets the camera see in near darkness.
As a WizMind series camera, it runs Xinghan large-scale vision models and deep-learning algorithms. IVS functions cover intrusion and tripwire detection, human and vehicle classification and people counting; the manufacturer also lists face detection, video metadata and AcuPick. Because alarms are triggered by people or vehicles rather than leaves and shadows, false alerts are reduced.
The camera can record on its own to a microSD card of up to 1 TB or to network-attached storage (NAS), so a recorder is not always required.
