Description

Protection features that keep the network running

Beyond VLANs, the SG4020LP offers loop protection, broadcast storm control and IP-MAC-port binding, so a miswired cable or an unknown device does not take the whole network down. Link aggregation combines several ports into one channel, while flow control and jumbo frames help with heavy video streams. Cloud management lets you check the switch status without visiting the site.

Questions & answers

How many devices can it power over PoE?

The total PoE budget is 190 W, with up to 30 W per port. Cameras drawing 8 W each would fit 23 into the budget, so the number of ports is usually the limit rather than the power. Check the actual draw in your camera data sheet.

Is it managed, and can I set up VLANs?

Yes. It is a managed L2 switch configured through a web interface or the cloud, with 32 port-based VLANs, link aggregation and a DHCP client.

Can it be mounted in a server rack?
