Description

3600 MHz for games and the processor

A higher memory speed lets the processor fetch data faster, which shows most in games and in systems with integrated graphics that share the same RAM. CL17 is a low latency for 3600 MHz, so the extra frequency is not eaten up by delay. Two modules give you dual-channel mode and 16 GB in total.

Who this RAM is for

Gamers and enthusiasts whose DDR4 motherboard and processor support 3600 MHz memory and who are comfortable enabling it in the BIOS; PC builders looking for something quicker than a 3200 MHz kit. On a board that does not support this speed, the memory simply runs slower.

Questions & answers

Will the memory run at 3600 MHz straight away?

Not always. This kit needs 1.35 V for 3600 MHz, which is above the standard DDR4 voltage. Many motherboards first start memory at a lower speed, and 3600 MHz has to be enabled in the BIOS. The manufacturer does not specify which overclocking profile is used.

Will it fit a laptop?

No. 288-pin DIMM modules are made for desktop motherboards; laptops use SO-DIMM modules or soldered memory.

Can I mix this kit with other modules?

You can, but all memory then usually runs at the speed and timings of the slowest module. The most predictable result comes from using just the two 8 GB modules of this kit.
