4K footage makes it easier to read a number plate later or see what the dog is carrying. In smart mode the picture is black and white and switches to colour once a person is detected. The manufacturer says a 512 GB card holds about 379 hours of 4K video. A 5 GHz link gives a smoother live view, while 2.4 GHz reaches further.
Houses, cottages and business premises where a camera has to cover a wide area without depending on a socket. It pans to track people, pets and vehicles without a subscription, and the sound and light alarm scares off unwanted visitors. Voice control works through Alexa and Google Home.
