The TP-Link TL-SL1226P is an unmanaged 1U rack switch with 24 PoE+ ports, built above all for video surveillance. All 24 ports supply up to 30 W from a 250 W total budget, and in extend mode power and data reach up to 250 m.

Description

Distant cameras, smooth video

In extend mode the switch carries power and data up to 250 m, so a camera in the yard or car park needs no device in between. Priority mode favours ports 1–8 so the most important cameras keep an uninterrupted picture, and isolation mode separates ports 1–24 from one another. The gigabit and SFP ports carry all the video to the recorder.

Who this network switch is for

Video surveillance in a warehouse, retail space, school or dormitory, and offices with up to 24 PoE devices: cameras, access points and IP phones. The switch fits a 19″ server rack and needs no configuration.

How many cameras can it power?

All 24 ports are PoE+ with up to 30 W each, and the total budget is 250 W. If a camera draws up to 10 W, all 24 can run at once.

Can it go into a server rack?

Yes, it is a 1U switch and the rack mount kit is in the box.

Are the ports gigabit?

The PoE ports run at 10/100 Mbit/s, which is enough for a camera video stream. The 2 RJ-45 ports and 2 SFP combo ports are gigabit and connect the recorder or router.
