Which battery goes where
- AA and AAA — remotes, wireless mice and keyboards, toys, clocks.
- CR2032 / CR2025 / CR2016 — car keys, scales, PC motherboards, smart tags.
- LR44 and other button cells — calculators, thermometers, small toys.
- CR123A and CR2 — cameras, flashlights, sensors.
- 9V — smoke detectors and measuring instruments.
Alkaline, lithium or rechargeable
Alkaline batteries are universal and inexpensive. Lithium lasts longer and copes with cold — good outdoors. Rechargeable NiMH pays off in devices that eat batteries (gamepads, cameras); "Always ready" cells come pre-charged and hold their charge in storage.
FAQ
