Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 11" (M4) keyboard case (432472)

The name holds the two facts that decide the fit: an 11-inch screen size and the M4 chip. A keyboard case has to match the tablet’s body exactly, which is why Apple names its accessories by tablet size and generation. If your iPad Pro is the 11-inch model with the M4 chip, this is the right version.

Eleven inches is the smaller iPad Pro size. Paired with the keyboard it fits even a small bag, takes little room on a desk and works well on a train, on a plane or at a café table, where a larger device would feel bulky and get in the way of the people next to you.

The on-screen keyboard covers almost half the display, and on glass your fingers cannot feel the keys. With a real keyboard the screen stays clear and you can touch-type, so emails, notes and longer documents get done faster and there are fewer typos to fix afterwards.

Magic Keyboard is an Apple accessory built specifically for the iPad Pro, not a generic keyboard you have to match to the tablet yourself. When choosing, three things matter: the size of your tablet, the chip generation and the key layout you are comfortable writing on.

Owners of an 11-inch M4 iPad Pro who want to use the tablet as a work tool: writers and editors working on the move, students taking notes, and business travellers who prefer a smaller set to a laptop. There is a separate, larger version for the 13-inch iPad Pro, so check your size before choosing.
