Description

Cloning that needs no computer

When an old SSD has to be replaced with a larger one, or you need an exact backup, both M.2 NVMe drives go into the dock and the cloning runs on the dock itself. No computer or separate software is needed, so your laptop stays free for other work. Connected to a computer, the dock works as external storage over USB-C at up to 20 Gbps.

Who this drive dock is for

IT technicians who swap M.2 NVMe drives in laptops and mini PCs and want to move the old drive to the new one quickly; photographers and video makers who keep projects on NVMe drives; and anyone with Windows, Mac, iPad and Android on the same desk, since the dock works with all of them.

Questions & answers

Does the dock support M.2 SATA drives?

By its name the ADSA-M2C22L is built for M.2 NVMe SSDs; the manufacturer does not specify SATA support. Both NVMe and SATA M.2 drives are supported by the ADSA-M2C22 from the same series.

Does it work with an iPad or Android device?

Yes. The manufacturer lists Windows 8.1/10/11 and newer, macOS, iPadOS, iOS, Linux, ChromeOS and Android as compatible systems.

Is the speed always 20 Gbps?

20 Gbps is the maximum of the dock's USB-C link. If the computer's port is slower, for example 10 or 5 Gbps, the port sets the limit, not the dock.
