Description

A re-timer chip that covers 5 metres

With an ordinary passive USB-C cable, speed drops as length grows. Here a re-timer chip restores the signal, so video, data and power still get through at 5 metres. The cable is bi-directional, so it does not matter which end goes to the computer and which to the monitor or dock.

Who this USB cable is for

Setups where the computer and a USB-C display, VR headset, external drive, dock or PD charger are far apart: in a meeting room, under a desk or next to a projector. Both devices must support DisplayPort Alt Mode, and the actual resolution depends on what they can do.
