Dahua CS4005-4ET1GT-36 network switch 4 × 100M PoE + 1 × 1G, 36 W

The Dahua CS4005-4ET1GT-36 is a compact cloud-managed network switch for four PoE cameras or access points. Four 10/100 Mbit/s PoE ports share a 36 W budget, and a gigabit RJ-45 port links the system to an NVR or router. The switch can be mounted on a wall.

  • Ports: 4 × RJ-45 10/100 PoE + 1 × RJ-45 1G
  • PoE: 36 W total, IEEE 802.3af/at on all PoE ports
  • Management: web interface and DoLynk app, 32 VLANs, loop protection
  • Extras: PoE Watchdog, long-distance PoE, DIP switch for modes
  • Housing: metal, blue, 115 × 84 × 27 mm, 200 g, wall-mountable
  • Power: 53 V DC, power adapter included

Description

A camera that reboots itself

PoE Watchdog monitors connected devices and restarts the port when a camera stops responding, so a small site does not need a visit for that. A DIP switch quickly turns on cloud management, Watchdog or long-distance PoE mode. The switch also supports port mirroring, IP-MAC-port binding and broadcast storm control.

Who this network switch is for

Homes, summer cottages and small retail spaces with up to four IP cameras; installers who want to watch a small site from a phone through the DoLynk app; and anyone who needs a wall-mounted switch that works from −10 to 55 °C.

Questions & answers

Is 36 W enough for four cameras?

That is 9 W per port on average. Check your cameras' data sheets: if the four together draw less than 36 W, all of them can run at once.

Are the ports gigabit?

The four PoE ports run at 10/100 Mbit/s, which is usually enough for an IP camera's video stream. The single uplink port is gigabit and connects to the NVR or router.

What is in the box?

According to the manufacturer, a 53 V DC power adapter, a power cable and a quick start guide.
