The CPU is powered by a digital 14+2+2 phase VRM and two 8-pin EPS connectors, with passive heatsinks cooling the power stage. The X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 BIOS feature uses AI to tune large-cache X3D processors for gaming. That means an X3D gaming PC can be built without a flagship board while keeping the core features of the new platform.

Four DIMM slots hold up to 256 GB of DDR5 in dual-channel mode, with up to 64 GB per slot. The manufacturer lists speeds from 4400 to 9000 MT/s; the upper values are overclocking and depend on both the CPU and the modules. An AMD EXPO profile sets speed and timings with a single option. Unbuffered non-ECC memory is supported.

The first M.2 slot supports PCIe 5.0 SSDs and fits modules up to 25110, while the other three run at PCIe 4.0 and take drives up to 22110. The M.2 EZ-Flex baseplate presses the SSD against its heatsink, and EZ-Latch secures both M.2 drives and PCIe cards without screws. There are also four SATA III ports with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10.

The Realtek RTL8126 controller supports wired connections up to 5 Gbit/s, which pays off with a fast internet line or a NAS. Wireless is Wi-Fi 7 (Qualcomm QCNCM865) and Bluetooth 5.4, with a directional antenna in the box. The rear panel has two USB4 Type-C ports with DisplayPort support, HDMI 2.1 (HDCP 2.3, up to 4096 × 2304) and nine USB 3.2 ports.

The Realtek ALC1220-VB codec supports 7.1 sound, with an optical output and a line input. For cooling there are two CPU fan headers, three pump headers and six chassis fan headers, plus two temperature sensor headers and a noise detection header. Four RGB headers handle lighting, and a Clear CMOS button resets the BIOS settings.

Gamers building an X3D-based PC who want the X870E platform, 5GbE and Wi-Fi 7 without the extras of a flagship model; users for whom one PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot and three PCIe 4.0 slots are enough; and builders who value screwless installation and plenty of fan headers.
