Large files on one small drive

256 GB holds a film collection, several years of photos or a photographer's RAW files from a long shoot. At write speeds of up to 100 MB/s a 10 GB folder copies in roughly a couple of minutes, and reading is faster still. Questions & answers

Will it work with a MacBook that has USB-C ports?

macOS 10.15 or later is supported, but the drive has a USB-A plug. A computer with only USB-C ports needs a separate adapter or hub.

Is all 256 GB usable for files?

Not quite. According to Kingston, part of the capacity is used for formatting and internal functions, so slightly less free space is available.

How does it differ from the 64 GB model?

Only in capacity: speed, metal casing, dimensions and compatibility are the same.
