Instead of a conventional copper USB-C design, the Lindy hybrid cable uses optical fibre for the high-speed signal. That way USB 3.2 data and a DisplayPort 1.4 picture travel the full 10 metres on one cable. The cable supports DisplayPort 1.4 Alternate Mode at resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz. To receive video, the display must have its USB setting switched to USB 3.0. The manufacturer also notes that devices supporting DisplayPort only over four lanes might not be compatible with the cable, so it is worth checking the display specifications first.
