Description

A VA panel that shows dark images with more depth

The strength of a VA panel is contrast: black looks blacker, and dark scenes in films and games keep more detail than on a typical IPS screen. The manufacturer lists viewing angles of 178° in both directions. 100 Hz refreshes the picture two thirds more often than a 60 Hz screen, making scrolling and motion smoother. The light 3.05 kg weight makes setting it up and moving it around easy.

Who this monitor is for

Home users who watch a lot of films and series and want a large screen; students and home offices where the monitor connects to a laptop over HDMI; and offices where an older computer still needs VGA. There are no speakers and no height adjustment, so sound comes from the computer or separate speakers.

Questions & answers

Does the monitor have DisplayPort?

No, there are two inputs: HDMI and VGA. Current computers connect with an HDMI cable, and a USB-C laptop needs a USB-C to HDMI adapter.

What is the difference between VA and IPS panels?

VA gives deeper blacks and higher contrast, while IPS keeps colours more consistent when viewed from the side. When watching films in a dim room, the VA advantage is easy to see.

Can the monitor be wall-mounted?

Yes, the VESA 100 × 100 mm mount fits common wall brackets and desk arms.
