TCL 43S5L 43" Full HD QLED Smart TV with Android TV and HDR

At the heart of the TCL 43S5L is a QLED panel, a technology chosen for its ability to deliver saturated, lively colour. Films, sport and animated content look more vivid than on a basic LED screen, and bright scenes keep their punch. Combined with a flat 16:9 screen, the panel suits everyday viewing from the sofa, whether you are catching up on the news or settling in for a long series marathon.

The 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution matches the screen size well. On a 43-inch display, Full HD keeps text, faces and fine details crisp at typical viewing distances. Most broadcast television and plenty of streaming content are produced in Full HD, so the picture looks natural without heavy upscaling. The standard 16:9 aspect ratio fills the screen with TV programmes and films without unnecessary black bars.

HDR support helps the TV display a wider range between the darkest and brightest parts of the image. With compatible content from streaming services, you get more detail in shadows and highlights, so night-time scenes and sunlit landscapes look more lifelike. Together with the QLED panel, HDR makes a noticeable difference with modern films and series mastered for high dynamic range.

The 43S5L runs Android TV, so you can install and use popular streaming apps directly on the television, with no extra box required. The familiar interface puts your apps and content in one place, making it easy to switch between services. Because it is a full smart TV, you can browse, stream and use apps right after setting it up and connecting it to your home network.

A 60 Hz refresh rate handles everyday viewing comfortably, from TV broadcasts and streaming series to YouTube videos and casual gaming. Motion stays steady in typical films and programmes. If you mainly watch TV and streaming services rather than competitive fast-paced gaming, 60 Hz covers your needs and keeps the focus on picture quality and colour.

Finished in black with a flat screen, the TCL 43S5L blends easily into modern interiors. The 43-inch size works well where a larger set would dominate the room, such as bedrooms, kitchens, student flats or a second room in the house. The neutral design keeps attention on the picture rather than the frame.

This TV suits households looking for a compact smart TV with QLED colour, HDR and Android TV. It is a sensible fit for a bedroom, a smaller living room or a holiday home, and for anyone who wants streaming apps built in without an extra device. Viewers who mostly watch broadcasts and streaming content in Full HD will get a sharp, colourful picture.
