TP-Link Deco X10 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 mesh Wi-Fi system unit, one device per pack. It delivers up to 1500 Mbit/s, one of its ports runs at 2.5 Gbit/s, and it can work as a standalone router, an access point or an extension of an existing Deco network.

Description

Wi-Fi 6 for a busy home network

OFDMA and bi-directional MU-MIMO let Deco X10 send data to several devices at once, cutting latency and buffering when the network is full of phones and TVs. The 5 GHz band at up to 1201 Mbit/s gives speed for video and gaming, while 2.4 GHz at up to 300 Mbit/s reaches further. The 2.5 Gbit/s port lets you use a fibre connection faster than gigabit.

How large an area does the unit cover?

The manufacturer lists maximum coverage as 190 m². Actual results depend on walls and placement.

Can the system be expanded?

Yes. According to the manufacturer, Deco X10 works with every other Deco model, and you can add units to extend coverage.

Is one unit a complete mesh system?

The pack contains one Deco X10, which works alone as a router or access point. A mesh network needs at least two Deco units.
