The TP-Link LS108GP is an 8-port gigabit unmanaged network switch from the LiteWave series, and all eight ports deliver PoE+ power. The 62 W budget covers a small camera system or a couple of access points, with nothing to configure.

Description

Eight powered ports over a single cable each

Every port carries both data and power, so a camera or access point needs just one network cable and no nearby socket. Extend Mode stretches the link to 250 metres, which helps with surveillance over a larger area. PoE Auto Recovery reboots a device that stops responding by itself, and the fanless metal housing runs quietly on a desk or on the wall.

How many cameras can it power?

All eight ports are PoE+ and share a 62 W budget, with up to 30 W per port. If each camera draws less than 7 W, all eight can be powered at once.

Does the switch need to be configured?

No. The LS108GP is an unmanaged switch: plug in the cables and it starts working. It has no VLANs and no web interface.

How far away can a camera be installed?

In Extend Mode the switch carries data and power up to 250 metres, which is aimed at cameras covering large areas.
