Description

Fast Wi-Fi 6 and external antennas for distant rooms

The RE705X goes where the router's signal is still good and carries the network on into rooms where it used to drop. The AX3000 class means up to 2402 Mbit/s on one band and up to 574 Mbit/s on the other, so the faster channel stays free for streaming or large downloads. The two external antennas can be angled to push the signal towards the room you need. Mesh support helps the extender work together with a compatible network.

Who this range extender is for

Homes that already have a Wi-Fi 6 router but whose signal does not reach the upper floor or a far room; people who stream or work from home on video calls and need a fast link in that room too; and anyone who prefers a unit with adjustable antennas. The white housing blends in with most interiors.

Questions & answers

What does 2402 + 574 Mbit/s mean?

These are the maximum speeds of the two bands separately. A single device uses one band at a time, so one phone or laptop will not reach the combined figure.

Which mesh system does the RE705X work with?

The manufacturer data lists mesh support but gives no list of compatible systems or routers.

Does the extender work with a SIM card?

No. The RE705X has no mobile broadband support; it extends the Wi-Fi network of your existing router.
