Description

Modes that keep the key cameras running

In Priority mode ports 1–8 get higher priority, so footage from cameras in critical areas stays smooth under load. Extend mode stretches data and power transmission up to 250 metres, and Isolation separates traffic on ports 1–16. If consumption goes above 150 W, power management cuts the lower-priority ports.

How many cameras can it power?

There are 16 PoE+ ports, up to 30 W on one port and 150 W in total. With every port in use that averages about 9.4 W per port, so check your cameras' data sheets for their consumption.

Are 100 Mbit/s ports enough for cameras?

The video stream of a single IP camera fits within a 100 Mbit/s port. Traffic from all cameras is gathered on the two gigabit ports or the SFP slot, where the recorder and router connect.

Can I set up VLANs on it?

No, it is an unmanaged switch. To keep camera traffic separate it offers Isolation mode, which needs no configuration.
