The TP-Link TL-SL1311MP is an unmanaged network switch whose 8 PoE+ ports power IP cameras, access points and IP phones straight over the network cable. Two more gigabit RJ-45 ports and an SFP slot link it to a recorder or the rest of the network, with nothing to configure.

Description

Cameras further than 100 metres away

In Extend mode the switch carries data and power up to 250 metres, which helps when a camera sits at the edge of a car park or at the far end of a warehouse. Isolation mode separates traffic on ports 1–8 so devices cannot see each other and a broadcast storm stays contained. If a camera stops responding, PoE Auto Recovery reboots it automatically.

Who this network switch is for

Small offices, shops or dormitories that need to power up to eight IP cameras, access points or IP phones without extra wall sockets. The two gigabit ports and the SFP slot connect the switch to a video recorder and the router, and the fanless housing makes no noise.

How many devices can the PoE budget handle?

The eight PoE+ ports share 124 W, with up to 30 W on a single port. If consumption goes above 124 W, intelligent power management cuts power to lower-priority ports and keeps the important devices running.

Can I set up VLANs on it?

No. It is an unmanaged switch that works as soon as it is plugged in. For traffic separation it offers Isolation mode, which needs no configuration.

Can it be rack-mounted?

No, the manufacturer does not list rack mounting. The switch is designed for a desk or shelf.
