The camera’s high-performance CMOS sensor and processor extract metadata continuously, 24 hours a day. Deep-learning algorithms read the number plate, recognise vehicles without plates and also determine vehicle type, make and colour. That means you can later search the entry log for, say, every red van rather than only a specific plate number. The 1/1.8-inch sensor and a shutter speed of up to 1/10,000 s help capture a moving car clearly.

The camera has built-in signal, data and communication ports plus remote control support, which help operate external devices such as entry and exit barriers. RS-485 is a widely used serial interface for connecting controllers, and the RJ-45 port carries video and data to the network. This lets the camera act as part of an access control system rather than just a recording device, opening the way to fully automated entry.

The focal length of the motorised 2.7–12 mm lens can be changed remotely, so the frame can be aimed precisely at the traffic lane without climbing a ladder. The camera has an all-in-one design with the junction box and bracket integrated into the housing, which shortens installation time. A built-in LED simplifies installation and commissioning, and the manufacturer describes the power consumption as low.

Beyond reading plates, the camera keeps an eye on its surroundings: intrusion and loitering detection triggers light and sound alarms that deter an unwanted visitor before anything happens. The warning sound can be changed, because your own audio files can be imported and edited on the camera, such as a message in the local language. The built-in microphone records sound together with the video for a complete record of each event.

The camera is built for outdoor installation: IP67 means dust-tight and resistant to water, and IK10 means protection against impacts. The operating range is −30 to +65 °C. The black and white housing measures 396 × 120.8 × 127.8 mm and weighs 2.3 kg, so choose a sufficiently sturdy mounting point. For local recording there is a microSD slot for cards of up to 256 GB.
