Ecovacs DEEBOT X12 OmniCyclone robot vacuum and mop 22,000 Pa, D-ToF LiDAR

The Ecovacs DEEBOT X12 OmniCyclone is a robot vacuum and mop that combines 22,000 Pa of suction, D-ToF LiDAR navigation and AIVI 3D 3.0 obstacle recognition. The station has a 1.6 L dust container plus clean and dirty water tanks, so the robot can clean several times in a row without you stepping in. It handles both carpets and hard floors.

  • Suction: 22,000 Pa, roller brush and side brush
  • Navigation: D-ToF LiDAR, AIVI 3D 3.0, TruEdge 3D, laser sensor
  • Mopping: wet mopping, 0.11 L water tank in the robot
  • Station: charging and cleaning, 1.6 L dust container, 3.5 L clean water tank, 2.7 L dirty water tank
  • Battery: Li-ion 17.8 V, 4000 mAh, 2.5 h charging

Description

D-ToF LiDAR and AIVI 3D 3.0

D-ToF LiDAR measures distances from the time of flight of a laser beam and builds an accurate map of your home, which the robot follows in an orderly pattern and uses to find its way back to the station. AIVI 3D 3.0 is the Ecovacs obstacle recognition system that helps it steer around objects on the floor. TruEdge 3D is designed for cleaning along walls and skirting boards, and a bumper guard protects furniture from scratches.

A station with large tanks

After cleaning, the robot returns to the station on its own and recharges. The station has a 1.6 L dust container that collects the contents of the robot's 0.25 L bin, plus a 3.5 L clean water tank and a 2.7 L dirty water tank. The robot itself carries only a 0.11 L water tank, because the main water supply is kept in the station. The station measures 380 × 493 × 465 mm.

Carpet and hard floor with one robot

The manufacturer lists both carpet and hard floor as supported surfaces. 22,000 Pa of suction, together with the roller and side brushes, pulls crumbs and grit out of carpet and gathers dust from hard floors, and the robot can mop in the same pass. The filter is washable; the manufacturer does not list a HEPA-class filter. The stated noise level is 61.1 dB.

Battery and charging

The robot runs on a 17.8 V lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh, and a full charge takes 2.5 hours. The manufacturer's data lists a runtime of up to 497 minutes; real-world time depends on the mode, suction level and floor type. Cleaning can be scheduled with the timer and the robot can be operated remotely. Typical power consumption is 110 W. The robot weighs 5.5 kg and the complete set with the station 16.5 kg.

Size and placement

The robot measures 353 × 351 mm and stands 98 mm tall, so it gets under furniture with more clearance than that. The station is 380 mm wide, 493 mm deep and 465 mm high and needs a free spot against a wall that the robot can drive straight into. Keep the area in front of the station clear so the robot can dock for charging without obstacles after each run.

Who this robot vacuum and mop is for

Homes where rugs alternate with hard floors and the robot has to find its way between furniture and things left on the floor; families who want the robot to empty its dust into the station and have enough water for several runs; and anyone who values precise LiDAR navigation and thorough cleaning along the edges.

Questions & answers

Does the station need a water connection?

No. The station has a 3.5 L clean water tank and a 2.7 L dirty water tank, which you fill and empty by hand.

Does the mop lift on carpets?

The manufacturer lists both carpet and hard floor as supported surfaces but gives no information on mop lifting.

Does the robot have a HEPA filter?

No, according to the manufacturer there is no HEPA filter. The filter is washable, so it can be rinsed with water and put back once dry.

How long does it run on one charge?

The battery is 4000 mAh (17.8 V), and the manufacturer's data lists a runtime of up to 497 minutes. A full charge takes 2.5 hours.

Is it different from the X12S OmniCyclone?

Yes, the X12 OmniCyclone and the X12S OmniCyclone are different models; their suction figures differ, for example. The data given here applies only to the DEEBOT X12 OmniCyclone.
