A redesigned vapour chamber spreads heat up to 29% more efficiently, according to the manufacturer. With 12 GB of RAM, apps stay open in the background.

The main camera is 50 MP with a 1/1.56″ sensor, f/1.8 aperture and optical stabilisation. The 12 MP ultra wide covers 120°, enough to fit a whole room or landscape into the frame, while the narrower 36° view of the 10 MP camera brings subjects closer. Digital zoom goes up to 30×. Video records in 8K at 30 fps or 4K at 60 fps. The front camera is 12 MP, f/2.2.

The battery holds 4300 mAh. The manufacturer says fast wired charging reaches up to 69% in about 30 minutes; a 10–25 W charger with USB Power Delivery is suitable. Wireless charging is supported too. The manufacturer rates the battery for 1200 charge cycles. A USB-C cable is in the box, but there is no power adapter.

You can unlock the phone with either your fingerprint or your face. It supports 5G, 4G and 3G networks and two SIMs (nanoSIM and eSIM). Wi-Fi 7 suits a fast home network, Bluetooth 5.4 handles earbuds and watches, and NFC covers contactless payments. The USB-C port runs at USB 3.2 Gen 1 speed, and audio supports Dolby Atmos. The system is Android 16 with One UI 8.5.

The blue Galaxy S26 with 256 GB suits someone who wants a flagship Galaxy but prefers a smaller, lighter body than the Ultra models. At 167 g it slips easily into a pocket, IP68 protection means it can be used in the rain, and the three cameras cover everything from ultra wide to closer shots. 256 GB is enough for apps and photos if bigger videos go to the cloud.
