Description

4G+ internet where no cable reaches

LTE Cat 6 means the router can combine several mobile network frequencies (4G+), which gives a faster link than plain 4G where coverage is good. The modem is built in, so no separate USB dongle or phone is needed: the SIM card goes straight into the router. The two detachable antennas can be swapped for higher-gain external antennas if the router sits in a weak-signal spot.

Who this 4G router is for

Country homes and summer houses with no fibre line; small offices or temporary sites that need internet quickly; and any household that wants to share mobile internet both over Wi-Fi and by cable, since the three Gigabit ports suit a TV, a desktop computer or a NAS.

Questions & answers

Can I put a SIM card in the router?

Yes. The Archer MR600 is a 4G+ LTE Cat 6 router: mobile data comes from a SIM card inserted in the router itself and is shared over Wi-Fi and the LAN ports.

How many devices can connect by cable?

The router has three RJ-45 LAN ports at 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, so three devices connect directly and more via an extra switch.

Can the router be used in a mesh network?

According to the manufacturer there is no mesh support and no MU-MIMO. To cover a larger home, add a separate access point or range extender.
