Description

Wi-Fi 6 that keeps up with many devices at once

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) is designed for homes where lots of phones, laptops and smart devices share the network at the same time. AX1500 stands for a combined speed class of around 1500 Mbit/s across both bands, and MU-MIMO lets the router send data to several devices simultaneously, so one large download does not slow everyone else down. Older Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 4 devices connect as well. Mesh support means coverage can be extended later with additional units.

Who this 4G router is for

Summer cottages, country houses and building sites where the internet comes from the mobile network and there is no cable. Flats that already rely on mobile internet and need a newer Wi-Fi 6 network. The gigabit port takes a TV, desktop computer or games console, which run more reliably over a cable than over Wi-Fi.

Questions & answers

Which SIM card does the Archer MX700 use?

It is a 4G+ LTE router that gets its internet connection from the mobile network through a SIM card. The manufacturer does not specify the SIM size, so check the user manual.

How many wired devices can I connect?

The router has one RJ-45 port at 10/100/1000 Mbit/s. If you have more wired devices, connect a network switch to that port.

Do Wi-Fi 5 devices work with a Wi-Fi 6 router?

Yes. 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax are all supported, so older laptops and phones connect too, simply at the speed of their own standard.
