  • Night vision: yes
  • Power: PoE
  • Housing: ultra-compact dome (Dome Ultra), tamper-resistant, indoor camera

Description

A small dome that stays unobtrusive

The ultra-compact dome housing is discreet and blends into the ceiling, so the camera does not bother customers or staff. The dome shape and tamper-resistant build make it harder to turn or damage the camera. At 2688 × 1512 pixels the image is sharper than Full HD, night vision keeps it usable in an unlit room, and PoE means a single network cable is enough.

Who this IP camera is for

Offices, retail spaces, cafés and stairwells that need a discreet indoor camera; businesses with a Ubiquiti network adding a compact dome camera to the system; and home users who want to watch a hallway or entrance. This is the Dome Ultra model, not the G5 Turret Ultra.

Questions & answers

Does the camera need a separate power supply?

No. It is powered over PoE through the same network cable. You need a PoE switch or a PoE injector.

Can it be used outdoors?

The manufacturer lists it as an indoor camera and gives no IP rating, so it is meant for installation indoors.

Is the camera protected against tampering?

Yes, the housing is tamper-resistant. Together with the dome shape, this makes the camera harder to turn or damage.
